Thanks for the attention in class....I really do appreciate the opportunity to teach you. For tomorrow, please be ready to have a class discussion on Emma Lazarus' The New Colossus. Do your rhetorical triangle, your rhetor's biographical information, annotations, connections, etc.
Be prepared to contribute - to speak. Your voices matter.
Articulation will be on Friday so no SAS this week. Our first will be on Friday, February 10th.
Have your Book Club info to me by Friday as well (that includes who's in your group and what you're reading.)
I'll see y'all tomorrow.
Go be kind. The world needs some kindness, don't you think?
Love and Light,
Beltran
p.s. - Trope and Scheme are up to no good...
Back to Black was arranged for piano by Ramin Dhawadi for the Westworld soundtrack here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4OxMEpFAeI4
ReplyDeleteIn my humble opinion, it's one of the best songs from a soundtrack that is largely unrivaled.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let everyone know that alibris.com is a great resource for buying cheap books. I got the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe there (which is huge and hardcover and the front has these intricate designs) for $4.
ReplyDeleteThe "Trope and scheme are up to know good" remind me of the lyric "when a couple of guys where up to no good" from fresh prince of bel-air.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, Beyonce is having twins!

ReplyDeleteI cant tell if I want to be the person who uses words to sound fancy or be the person who catches people doing that... can I be both????
ReplyDeleteI was honestly kind of bummed you said there wasn't going to be an SAS. I was prepared and everything. :/
ReplyDeleteScheme is looking pretty good, but Trope has got some pointed issues.
ReplyDeleteTrope and Scheme are blue and pink for me (:
ReplyDeleteTrope and Scheme, those troublemakers.
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit I had never heard of Emma Lazarus until now... how can this be? I'm excited for tomorrow!
